NIBC IN THE CITY
THE HAGUE LONDON FRANKFURT BRUSSELS
NIBC HAS IS OFFICES IN FOUR FANTASTIC EUROPEAN CITIES, EACH WITH THEIR OWN PERSONALITY AND GREAT HOTSPOTS
Annemiek Hofland CCO Londen
London is the largest financial market in Europe and Brexit is expected to do little to change that. NIBC opened in London in 1995, partly in order to expand its corporate lending operations outside of the Netherlands. This is still our role today, and we make an important contribution to the growth of NIBC’s client base and profitability. The London office also serves as the eyes and ears of NIBC in this highly sophisticated financial market, identifying new business developments and trends, and helping to implement them.
For example, London is often regarded as the ‘fintech capital’ of the world, an important market for NIBC’s fintech operations. London’s deep, broad investor base and long-standing CLO management activities make the office highly relevant for expanding NIBC’s originate-to-manage activities, one of the growth pillars of its corporate banking strategy.

Victor Ruitenberg CCO Frankfurt
NIBC opened its Frankfurt office in 2005, so this year we are celebrating our 15th anniversary. Due in part to the fact that the European Central Bank is based in Frankfurt, this city is the most important financial centre in mainland Europe. Banks from all over the world run their German operations from here. Our office offers various business services for Fintech, Structured Finance & Mobility, Growth & Leveraged Finance, and Technology, and besides that we have our retail operations (Savings and Brokerage).
For centuries, our city has served as a trade centre, as evidenced by major trade fairs in the Messe, such as the IAA (the worlds’ largest mobility trade fair), and that it is home to the fourth largest stock exchange in the world. Frankfurt has excellent infrastructure, with an important rail network and Europe’s second largest airport. This makes it an excellent hub for reaching all our clients across Germany. Due to its good infrastructure, many cultural attractions as well as nature and wine regions, the city is also a lovely place to live.

Ann Merckx CCO Brussel
Brussels is the best place for any financial institution wishing to develop its operations in Belgium. NIBC opened its Brussels office at the end of the 1990s in the heart of the financial district, close to regulators and competitors and just a stone’s throw away from the European institutions that our capital has come to symbolise.
In 2012, NIBC launched a range of Belgian online savings products, which we continue to develop today.
From our current office in Brussels, we look out over the city. Brussels is a city that is as multifaceted as it is complex. It combines architectural beauty with a world-famous artistic scene. Southern charm and northern pragmatism come together in the Belgian capital. We also enjoy an exquisite cuisine here.
All this makes the city appeal to a large number of multinationals and an international audience.

Hanneke van Paradijs Head of Facilities & Services
In my role as Head of Facilities and Services, the office in The Hague really feels like home, and I’m proud of it. Together with colleagues in my department and a great number of collaboration partners, we ensure that the premises are neat and tidy on a daily basis. Our motto is: ‘together, we make sure you get the most out of your working day’. In addition to our internal clients, we also like to dot the i’s and cross the t’s for our external guests.
The Hague is the city where it all began for NIBC, 75 years ago. We have a strong connection with the city and for decades now, the current office has been NIBC’s trusted location for employees and clients. The presence of many national and international institutions makes The Hague a dynamic city with many faces. Not only the wide variety of possibilities, but the green spaces and sea make The Hague a pleasant, unique city.
